Rice Lake Construction

In 2020, Digital Horizons worked with Rice Lake Construction to create an advanced conference room with a unique audio/video system. This organization has built an exceptional reputation for themselves and this high-tech space allows them to hold flawless meetings and to provide high-quality presentations when bidding on projects.

This system is comprised of (4) separate 55” thin-bezel video wall displays and a Crestron NVX video distribution system – through the combination of these two things their teams are able to connect to a dedicated computer that provides (4) monitors worth of content (often to display construction and bidding documents, requiring a lot of information to be displayed simultaneously), or to show one single large image across all four displays via a single laptop and HDMI connection.

To facilitate high quality audio/video conferencing, the room was outfitted with a 1080P PTZ camera for capturing room video and a ceiling mounted beam-forming microphone array for capturing crystal-clear audio.

A 10” Crestron touch panel interface was provided to ensure the system is simple and easy to use for anyone. All audio/video and automation components were installed in a cabinet-frame equipment rack that slides into and out of cabinetry in the back of the room. Doing so ensures the system components are spaced appropriately, that wires are routed neatly and cleanly between components, and that the system is easily serviced or added onto in the future.
